Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Theresa Hus, and I am a mother and also the CEO of Business Locate LLC, which is represented by our platform RealEstateAgent.com, trademarked as The Official Real Estate Agent Directory®. We are a marketing platform for real estate agents designed to make the connection between homebuyers, homesellers, and agents as easy and as simple as possible.
I started my career as a salesperson at a company that sold online advertising to attorneys. It lasted about three years before I decided to take things into my own hands and develop the entrepreneurial skills required to start my own business. With no experience in the real estate industry, but with strong sales abilities and determination, I took a big step into the unknown to better myself and become the entrepreneur I am today.
What problem does your product/service solve?
Our platform connects potential buyers/sellers/renters with real estate agents throughout the USA in the most effortless way possible. Our comprehensive nationwide directory is user friendly, and it makes it easy to get in touch with real estate agents, no matter where you are located in the country. By merely accessing the directory, you can get an extensive list of realtors in any desired region in the US who are ready to help you. Each agent has a personalized profile page where you can check their bio, find reviews about them, see the areas they serve, etc.
On the other hand, our platform provides a wide array of informative resources for our visitors who want to stay informed regarding the latest real estate trends or learn more about cities they wish to visit or relocate to. It is essential for us to educate the reader, and we achieve that by creating numerous blogs on topics such as: “Turning a warehouse into a Loft living space,” “Living near a cemetery” or “Benefits of living in a studio apartment”
Our elaborate list of real estate terms, along with our extensive list of FAQ’s drives a lot of traffic to our website. Our real estate related blogs provide useful information for investors, buyers, sellers, renters, agents, real estate professionals, and many others.
Nowadays, people search for agents specialized in a specific real estate niche. We want through our website to provide an easy way for clients to get in touch with agents who are specialized in a certain niche such as retirement, rentals, foreign investors, or special needs housing.
What’s are you most excited about right now?
I am most excited about the future of real estate. To see how the market is shifting and know people’s expectations as far as real estate goes. For example, people are moving away from high demand cities such as NYC and San Francisco and heading towards more rural areas, which will drive up prices of real estate in these areas.
I am excited to see that traffic to our website is increasing, and we are continuously focusing on this aspect. Also, I am focused on making our website more user friendly, continuing to inform readers of hot topics today, and expand the company during the pandemic.
What’s next for you?
We are looking forward to expanding our online presence and brand while maintaining a good relationship with our audience through quality content and advice. We are focused on improving our ability to communicate with clients and connect them with the right agents who can offer the best services. Creating a platform that can offer the right advice and services that are tailored for individual needs is what we are aiming for.
By expanding our reach we will be able to help more people connect with a real estate agent not only in the US but in other countries as well. We will continue to focus on creating fresh, quality content for our audience while improving upon the existing blogs and expanding our team. By growing our company we want our REA brand to be among the top brands in real estate.
What’s a cause you’re passionate about and why?
I am passionate about JAFCO’s mission to care about abused, neglected, and at-risk children as well as those with developmental disabilities in the Jewish community. Our business pays close attention to the special needs housing niche. In that regard, we try to create awareness around this topic while facilitating the connection with specialized real estate agents, who are best suited to help them. As a mother, I can relate with all the parents out there who have children with special needs, and by supporting JAFCO’s mission we want to encourage volunteering and fundraising.
