In our latest real estate tech entrepreneur interview, we’re speaking with Joe Jesuele from HomeJab.

What do you do?
We make it easy and affordable for real estate agents to beautifully market their listings. HomeJab offers walkthrough videos, HDR photos, aerials, 3D tours and much more. Shoots can be scheduled with a professional photographer within the day and once shot, are edited and delivered online within 24 hours. This makes HomeJab one of the fastest and most efficient media services available.
What problem does your product/service solve?
When we started 5 years ago, most agents were using automated slideshows as their “virtual tours”. It was technology from the late ‘90s. The photos would zoom in and out, move side to side, and then cut to the next room. It was an embarrassing problem. We introduced real video walkthroughs to agents for the same price they were paying for photos alone.
Scheduling shoots quickly was also a problem for agents. They would typically have to rely on one or two photographers that they knew. During busy times, it could take several days to schedule a shoot and the turn around times were unreliable. We created an on-demand service that connects agents with a huge network of top quality real estate photographers. Agents can now confirm shoots in seconds by simply using their phone while at a listing appointment. We deliver media files the next day, so agents can list properties right away and sell homes faster. Making this process super efficient and reliable was the main thing we tried to do.
What are you most excited about right now?
I’m most excited about the new technology we are building that uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to analyze photos. We’ve produced millions of photographs over the years and we are now using them to extract valuable insights about which photos perform best and what style home buyers prefer.
What’s next for you?
We’ll be launching a mobile app with a ton of new and fun features for our customers. We love building new products and introducing new services to the real estate industry. What’s next for us is always the latest, most cutting edge technology and figuring out how it can be used to simplify the home buying process.
What’s a cause you’re passionate about and why?
Teaching and mentoring students who have an interest in starting a business. When I was in college, I was lucky enough to stumble into an academic program for entrepreneurship. It was a game changer for me. I’m passionate about giving others the confidence they need to follow their dreams.
