What do you do?
Hoozip is a technology company that builds productivity software for residential real estate investors. We help smaller investors to level-up by giving them access to enterprise caliber data tools that make them faster and more efficient at finding and analyzing deals. We help larger investors to scale their operations, primarily by optimizing their dispositions process.
What problem does your product/service solve?
REIRail solves the biggest problem that most realtors and real estate investors grapple with: turning cold prospects into warm leads.
When canvassing for prospects, real estate professionals often blanket a target area with outbound marketing messages using ringless voicemail technology. It’s effective because it feels like targeted communication. The challenge is that when prospects call back, it becomes very obvious very quickly that the voicemail they received was not targeted at all. This can be a quick turnoff.
REIRail solves this problem by intercepting that inbound call and scanning hundreds of public and private databases for info about the caller. We triangulate on personal and property data, and then build a profile of the caller. Instantly. The result is that in the 2.9 seconds (on average) that it takes to connect a mobile phone call, REIRail delivers our users a full breakdown on the prospect. They can not only recite basic details about the subject property, but they can glean personal tidbits about the caller to help them build rapport more quickly and turn that cold prospect into a warm lead.
What are you most excited about right now?
As it relates to the product, we are most excited about how the data we are collecting from users is helping us to develop granular insights about investor activity in certain markets.
What’s next for you?
We intend to use the data we are collecting to help our users be even more productive. We will be announcing soon an extension of the platform that will provide our users not only with tech to generate leads, but with direct access to deal flow.
What’s a cause you’re passionate about and why?
I have a few causes that I am passionate about, and have devoted time and resources to different organizations over time. For several years I provided financial literacy coaching through a non profit in Manhattan. This is a cause that’s near and dear to me because of the havoc I saw created from poor financial decisions by my family when I was growing up. More recently, I served on the board of Housing Works, an organization that fights the twin scourges of homelessness and HIV/AIDS.
Because charity begins at home, I try to be very involved in kids activities. I am a volunteer coach for my son’s soccer team and recently handed over management of the family Kiva account to my daughter.
